2012 Black History Month Education Kit
JOHN H. JOHNSON
The John H. Johnson Education Kit charts the life and accomplishments of the man who gave Black Americans a cultural voice. Each of the eight chapters include a Teacher’s Page featuring a life-stage biography, with questions for class discussion or journaling activities, and a Student Page featuring a photojournalistic treatment of Johnson’s life during a particular time in 20th century America. Three unique and extended Lesson Plans offer engaging cross-curricular learning activities specially designed for use during Black History Month.
The story of John Harold Johnson is the story of the 20th Century. Every chapter of his life reflects the tone of the times and teaches a lesson about hope and perseverance.
